The convex mirror glass provides a 120-degree field of view to the rear and sides — critical for reversing maneuvers where the operator must monitor blind spots behind the counterweight and mast structure that cannot be seen through the overhead guard or by turning the head. On 10-ton forklifts where the counterweight extends over 2 meters behind the operator seat, the rearward blind zone can conceal pedestrians, racking columns, and other forklifts — a convex mirror is the primary defense against this hazard.

The mirror head is constructed from impact-resistant ABS plastic with a UV-stabilized finish preventing yellowing and brittleness from years of outdoor exposure. The 12-inch (300mm) convex glass lens features a first-surface silvered mirror coating with anti-glare treatment, reducing the blinding effect of warehouse lighting and sunlight reflecting from polished concrete floors. The articulating ball-joint mount allows 360-degree rotation and 45-degree tilt, locked with a single M12 bolt.
