Forklift Fork: The Primary Load-Carrying Tine — Standard, Alloy Steel, FEM & Multi-Spec Replacements

A forklift fork is the load-engaging tine that slides under pallets and loads, transferring the payload weight through the fork heel to the carriage bar and mast assembly. Forks are the highest-wear component on any forklift — constant pallet entry friction, floor contact, and load cycling gradually wear the fork blade thickness, heel contact surfaces, and locking pin notches. Replacing worn forks before the blade thickness drops below 90% of the original dimension is a safety-critical maintenance practice; forks worn below this threshold risk bending or catastrophic failure under rated load. Forks are manufactured in multiple material grades (carbon steel, 40Cr alloy steel, 33MnCr, and cast iron) and mounting classes (ITA Class 2A, 3A, 4A for American/Asian carriages; FEM/ISO2328 for European carriages), with fork dimensions ranging from 1-ton through 10-ton capacity.

Kingstream supplies forklift forks for 15+ brands including Toyota, Komatsu, HELI, CAT, Mitsubishi, Hangcha, Yale, Linde, NICHIYU, and BYD — covering electric, diesel, and LPG forklifts from 1-ton compact through 10-ton heavy-duty. Our range includes 40Cr alloy steel forks with ISO9001 certification, FEM-standard forks with US and EURO hook options, Class 2A/3A/4A forks in full 1T-10T size ranges, tractor-compatible forks for agricultural loader applications, and OEM-spec replacements with machinery test reports and video inspection provided.

Fork Types & Selection Guide:
Standard Carbon Steel Fork — Economical replacement for light-duty warehouse and retail applications. ITA Class II/III.
40Cr Alloy Steel Fork — Chromium-molybdenum grade for multi-shift industrial use. Higher yield strength and fatigue resistance.
FEM / ISO2328 Fork — European-standard hook profile for Linde, Jungheinrich, STILL carriages. US hook option available.
Class 2A / 3A / 4A Fork — ITA mounting classes for 1T-10T capacities. Verify your carriage class before ordering.
Cast Iron Fork — Cost-effective option for standard pallet handling where extreme impact resistance is not required.

When to Replace / Common Symptoms:
• Fork blade thickness worn below 90% of original → Safety-critical — replace immediately
• Visible crack at fork heel or blade bend radius → Fatigue crack — do not weld-repair, replace
• Fork tips are not level (one higher than the other) → Bent fork or uneven heel wear — replace as matched pair
• Locking pin does not engage or fork slides freely → Worn pin notch or undersized pin — replace pin and inspect fork heel
• Surface rust, pitting, or corrosion at heel contact zone → Galvanic corrosion — replace fork and clean carriage bar
