Forklift Electronic Control Parts

Categories

The electronic control system is the brain and muscle of every electric and IC forklift — it manages power delivery from the battery to the traction motor, controls hydraulic pump speed, and coordinates safety interlocks. When a controller fails, a contactor welds shut, or a solenoid sticks, the forklift either won’t move, won’t lift, or won’t shut off. Forklift electronic control parts are mission-critical components where quality directly impacts uptime and operator safety.

Kingstream supplies replacement electronic control components for 15+ forklift brands including Toyota, Komatsu, HELI, CAT, Mitsubishi, and Hangcha. Every part is OEM-spec, pre-shipment tested, and backed by a 6-month warranty.

Complete Electronic Control Parts Catalog:

Forklift Controller — The main electronic speed controller (ESC) that regulates motor RPM, torque output, and regenerative braking on electric forklifts. Common failure symptoms: forklift won’t accelerate, jerky movement, or error codes on the dashboard. We stock Curtis, ZAPI, and Sevcon-compatible controllers with matching OEM pinouts — no re-wiring required.

Forklift Contactor — A heavy-duty electromagnetic switch that controls high-current circuits — primarily the traction motor and hydraulic pump motor on electric forklifts. Contactor failure is the #1 electrical fault on electric forklifts. Symptoms include: forklift won’t move but pump works (traction contactor fault), or pump won’t run but forklift moves (pump contactor fault). We stock SW80, SW200, and ZJQ series contactors in 24V through 80V coil ratings.

Forklift Solenoid — Electromagnetic actuators for fuel shutoff, starter engagement, and hydraulic valve control. A failed solenoid prevents the engine from starting (starter solenoid), won’t stop the engine (fuel shutoff solenoid), or locks hydraulic functions. We stock pull-type, push-type, and 3-wire solenoids for diesel and LPG engines.

Forklift Motor — Traction drive motors, hydraulic pump motors, and power steering motors for electric forklifts. Worn brushes, shorted windings, or seized bearings cause loss of power, intermittent operation, and excessive current draw that trips the controller. We supply series-wound and separately-excited DC motors plus AC induction motors with OEM mounting flanges.

Forklift Electric Battery — Deep-cycle traction batteries in 24V, 36V, 48V, and 80V configurations. A degraded battery can’t hold charge through a full shift — the forklift slows down mid-shift and requires opportunity charging. We stock lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries with correct tray dimensions for Toyota, HELI, and Komatsu electric forklifts.

Forklift Battery Charger — External and onboard chargers for 24V-80V traction batteries. An incorrect or faulty charger undercharges the battery (causing sulfation and permanent capacity loss) or overcharges it (boiling electrolyte and oxidizing plates). Always match the charger to the battery chemistry and capacity. We stock high-frequency chargers with automatic charge termination.

Forklift Charger Connector — Anderson connectors, SB-series plugs, and charging port assemblies. Worn or arcing connectors cause voltage drop during charging, extending charge time and creating a fire hazard from overheating. We stock genuine Anderson Power Products connectors with crimped or solder terminals.

Forklift DC Converter — DC-DC voltage converters that step down traction battery voltage (24-80V) to 12V for lights, horn, and auxiliary circuits. A failed converter means no lights, no horn, and no dashboard — even though the forklift still runs. We stock isolated and non-isolated converters rated from 120W to 1000W.

Forklift Carbon Brush — Carbon brush sets for DC traction motors, pump motors, and generators. Brushes are a wear item — they should be checked every 500 hours and replaced when worn to 1/3 of original length or when the wear indicator line is reached. Operating with worn brushes permanently damages the commutator — a much more expensive repair.

Forklift Accelerator Pedal — Electronic throttle pedal with potentiometer or Hall-effect sensor output. Worn potentiometer tracks cause dead spots where the forklift doesn’t respond to pedal input, or surges unpredictably. We stock floor-mount and suspended pedal assemblies with OEM-matched resistance curves.

Forklift Other Control Parts — Diodes, rectifiers, resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components not listed in specific subcategories above. These support repair of controller boards, charger circuits, and motor control systems. If you need a component you cannot find, send us the part number and we will source it.

Common Electronic Control Problems & Solutions

Forklift won’t move, pump runs fine → Check traction contactor — likely welded or failed coil
Forklift moves, pump won’t run → Check pump contactor or pump motor brushes
Jerky acceleration or speed surging → Check accelerator pedal potentiometer for dead spots
Battery dies mid-shift after full charge → Check battery capacity with a load test, or verify charger is correctly matched
Controller error code on dashboard → Common codes indicate motor thermal sensor open, contactor coil fault, or throttle input out of range
