Forklift Engine Cushion: Rubber Shock-Absorbing Mounts & Foot Pads for 1-4.5 Ton Diesel Forklifts

The engine cushion is the rubber-and-steel vibration isolator between the engine block and chassis frame — without it, every piston stroke transmits directly into the chassis, shaking the operator, loosening bolts, and cracking welds throughout the forklift. A collapsed cushion lets the engine sag, misaligning the drivetrain and causing premature wear on the transmission input shaft and clutch. A hardened cushion transmits vibration that the operator feels through the seat and steering wheel for 8-12 hours per shift.

Types of Engine Cushions:

Genuine HELI Engine Cushion — OEM-spec rubber mount measuring 10×8×8cm for HELI CPCD series IC forklifts. Manufactured in Anhui, China to original equipment durometer specification for correct vibration isolation without excessive engine movement under load.

Universal Engine Rubber Cushion (480-07300) — Multi-material mount available in EPDM, NR, or CR compounds with 40-80 Shore A hardness. Rubber vulcanization forming process with IATF 16949 certification. Fits forklifts and excavators requiring this mount specification.

Engine Foot Pad — Heavy-duty rubber pads for engine-to-chassis isolation. Available for 3-ton and 4.5-ton forklift capacities in EMD brand with 100% professional testing. The 4.5-ton pad is thicker and firmer than the 3-ton pad to handle increased engine vibration from higher-displacement diesel engines.

Machine Foot Pad Assembly — Buffer pad designed for HELI H2000 1-3T forklifts. Shock-absorbing rubber compound integrated with steel mounting plate for direct bolt-on replacement.

When to Replace Engine Cushions:

• Excessive vibration through seat and steering wheel at idle → Rubber has hardened and no longer absorbs engine vibration; replace
• Visible cracks or separation between rubber and metal mounting plate → Bond failure; the cushion is structurally compromised
• Engine sits visibly lower on one side or shifts during acceleration → One or more cushions collapsed; inspect and replace all mounts in pairs
• Oil-soaked, swollen, or softened rubber → Diesel or hydraulic oil contamination has degraded the compound; fix the leak and replace
• Clunking during engine startup and shutdown → Metal-to-metal contact indicates complete rubber collapse; replace immediately
