Forklift Solid Tires: Press-On, Resilient & Polyurethane — ShuangTao 18×7-8 to 28×9-15, 14 Product Lines

A forklift solid tire is a puncture-proof tire that never goes flat — the single biggest difference between solid and pneumatic tires. Solid tires eliminate the most common cause of forklift downtime in industrial environments: pneumatic tire punctures from nails, screws, metal shavings, broken pallet fragments, and dock plate edges that are present on every warehouse, factory, and construction site floor. A solid tire uses a solid rubber (or polyurethane) compound bonded to a steel base band that is press-fitted onto the wheel rim — there is no air chamber, no inner tube, and no possibility of a flat tire. The trade-off is operator comfort: solid tires transmit more vibration and impact to the forklift chassis and operator than pneumatic tires because there is no air cushion to absorb road irregularities. However, the downtime elimination benefit of solid tires — a single flat pneumatic tire immediately takes the forklift out of service due to the altered stability triangle and tip-over hazard — outweighs the comfort trade-off for the vast majority of warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics applications. Kingstream supplies 14 types of solid forklift tires from the ShuangTao manufacturing complex, covering the most popular sizes: 18×7-8, 23×9-10, 28×9-15, 650-10, 6.50-10, 15.5-8 caster wheels, and multi-size universal coverage.

ShuangTao Brand Solid Tires:
ShuangTao All Sizes (SHUANGTAO-SOLID-TIRE) — Complete ShuangTao solid tire line covering all standard forklift sizes. ShuangTao is one of China’s largest solid tire manufacturers with consistent Shore hardness, dimensional tolerance, and steel band bonding quality across production batches
ShuangTao 6.50-10 to 28×9-15 Complete (SOLID-SHUANGTAO-ALL) — ShuangTao solid tire in the full size range from 6.50-10 through 18×7-8 to 23×9-10. Single-source solid tire supplier for mixed fleets
ShuangTao 23×9-10 (SOLID-23X9-10) — All-size solid rubber tire by ShuangTao in the 23×9-10 configuration. Common on 2-3 ton counterbalanced forklifts
ShuangTao 28-9R15 (SHUANGTAO-28-9R15) — ShuangTao solid tire in 28×9-15 size — the single most popular solid tire size for 3-5 ton forklifts. Available with standard tread pattern

Size-Specific Solid Tires:
3-7 Ton Universal (SOLID-TIRE-3-7T) — Heavy-duty solid tyre for 3-7 ton forklifts. Compatible with pneumatic wheel systems (solid tire replacing pneumatic). Suitable for tandem and heavy forklifts
28×9-15 Mining (SOLID-28X9-15-MINING) — China factory rubber mining-specific solid tire in 28×9-15. Heavy-duty compound for abrasive surfaces — mining, quarry, and scrap yard environments where tire wear from sharp rocks and metal scrap is extreme
28×9-15 High Quality (SOLID-28X9-15-HQ) — Premium quality forklift solid tire in 28×9-15. Balanced compound for general industrial use — warehouse floors, loading docks, and paved yards
18×7-8 Solid (SOLID-18X7-8) — Standard solid tire for 18×7-8 forklift wheels. Common on 1-2 ton electric forklifts and reach trucks
18×7-8 Polyurethane (SOLID-18X7-8) — Solid polyurethane drive wheel in 145/55mm size. Polyurethane compounds offer lower rolling resistance than rubber — important for battery-powered forklifts where every amp-hour of charge matters
650-10 Shock Absorption (SOLID-650-10-SA) — Shock-absorbing solid tire in 650-10 size. Special compound formulation that provides more cushioning than standard solid rubber — a middle ground between full solid and pneumatic for operators who find standard solid tires uncomfortable
650-10 Standard (SOLID-650-10) — Standard solid tire in 6.50-10 forklift size. Common on 2-3 ton forklifts
15.5-8 Caster Wheels (SOLID-15.5-8-CASTER) — Industrial caster wheel solid tires for Clark, BT, Hyundai, and Yale forklifts. Caster wheels experience the highest lateral scrubbing wear of any forklift tire position — solid construction is essential for acceptable caster tire life
Multi-Size Set (SOLID-TIRE-SET) — Black forklift solid tire manufacturer professional supplier covering 6.00-9, 28×9-15, and 7.00×12.50-16 sizes. Three of the most common forklift tire sizes in a single supplier product line

When to Replace Solid Tires:
• Tread worn down to the wear indicator — typically 50-60% of original tread depth → Replace. Worn tread loses traction on smooth concrete floors, especially when wet. The forklift becomes a sliding hazard
• Solid tire has chunks of rubber missing from the tread or sidewall from impact damage → The damage creates stress concentrations that propagate through the rubber compound. Replace before the entire tread section separates
• Tire has spun on the rim — the steel base band has rotated relative to the wheel rim, visible as wear marks or metal transfer → The interference press-fit is lost. Replace tire and rim as a matched set — the rim bead seat has been damaged by the spinning steel band
• Visible separation between the rubber tread layer and the steel base band — a gap or crack at the bond line → The vulcanization bond has failed. The tread may separate from the base band at operating speed. Replace immediately
• Tire has a visible flat spot from locked-wheel skidding or prolonged stationary loading → The flat spot creates vibration that accelerates bearing, seal, and chassis component wear. Replace if the flat spot is more than 3mm deep or covers more than 10% of the circumference
