This forklift DC contactor model ZJW400D (HK code A.A.01.0548G2) is a Kingstream OEM 48V 400A single-pole normally-open power contactor for electric forklift trucks, industrial trucks, airport tractors, and electric vehicle motor control applications in machinery repair, manufacturing, retail, and energy and mining environments. The contactor is a heavy-duty electrically operated switch that controls the main traction motor power circuit — when the coil is energized, the silver alloy contact tips close to complete the high-current circuit between the battery and the motor controller. The double-breaking main contacts with silver alloy tips are weld-resistant, hard-wearing, and have excellent conductivity for reliable switching of 400A DC motor currents. Installing the ZJW400D contactor requires disconnecting the battery, mounting the contactor using 5mm tapped holes in the switch frame with the included mounting bracket and screws, connecting the main power cables to the contactor terminals, and connecting the 48V DC coil control circuit via the 6mm spade terminals (two per terminal supplied). The contactor is designed for intermittent duty up to 70% on-time, with continuous duty 100% coils also available. Coil voltages range from 6V to 240V DC with optional bridge rectifier for AC supply operation. After installation, verify the contactor engages with an audible click when the coil is energized and that zero resistance is measured across the main contacts when closed. Inspect silver alloy contact tips periodically for pitting or welding.
