The electric forklift PU drive wheel 160×55mm with 6-slot hub is a heavy-duty polyurethane traction and load wheel designed for larger-capacity electric pallet trucks, powered stackers, and electric counterbalance forklifts using 160mm diameter drive wheel specifications. The six radial slots in the steel hub serve as both weight-reduction features and heat-dissipation channels — critical on electric drive wheels where the PU tread acts as a thermal insulator between the hub and floor surface, trapping frictional heat generated during loaded travel and braking. Without heat-dissipation slots, the accumulated thermal energy can raise the hub-to-tread bond line temperature above 80°C, accelerating the chemical degradation of the polyurethane and causing premature tread separation at 1,500-2,000 operating hours — well below the 5,000+ hour expected service life.
The wheel is manufactured with a hot-cast polyurethane tread (Shore A 92-95 hardness) chemically cross-linked to a cast steel 6-slot hub.
