XinChai 490 Engine Water Temperature Sensor

This water temperature sensor is a universal-fit replacement designed for XinChai 490 and compatible 4-cylinder diesel engines used in forklifts and industrial equipment. The sensor monitors engine coolant temperature and sends a variable resistance signal to the temperature gauge on the instrument panel, allowing the operator to monitor engine operating temperature and detect overheating conditions before engine damage occurs.

The sensor features a brass body with a sealed thermistor element that provides accurate temperature readings across the full operating range from cold start to normal operating temperature. The electrical connector uses a standard single-pin terminal compatible with most forklift wiring harnesses, and the threaded body (typically M16x1.5 or similar metric thread) screws directly into the engine thermostat housing or cylinder head coolant passage. An integrated sealing washer provides leak-free installation.

Compatible with XinChai 490, A490BPG, 490B diesel engines and cross-compatible with many domestic 4-cylinder forklift engines. Verify the thread size and electrical connector type before ordering. Apply a small amount of thread sealant on the threads (not on the sensor tip) during installation.
