This cast iron exhaust pipe is manufactured to OEM specifications for the 4100 diesel engine used in small loader forklifts and industrial equipment. Cast iron construction provides superior heat resistance and durability compared to pressed steel exhaust pipes — it won’t warp or deform under continuous exposure to 400-500°C diesel exhaust temperatures. The OEM-size fitment means no cutting, welding, or adapter fabrication required. A failed or cracked exhaust pipe on a 4100-series engine causes exhaust leaks that overheat the engine bay, reduce scavenging efficiency, and increase fuel consumption due to disrupted exhaust backpressure.

Installation replaces the factory exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold outlet and the muffler/silencer inlet on 4100 diesel engines. Always replace the manifold gasket when installing a new pipe. Check the manifold studs for corrosion while the old pipe is removed — if studs are rusted or stripped, replace them before mounting the new cast iron pipe.
