The 15793-82001 torque converter case encloses the torque converter assembly for CPCD50 through CPCD100 heavy-duty forklifts equipped with the 6110-series diesel engine. This cast iron housing serves as the structural bellhousing between the engine block and the powershift transmission — it carries the full torque load through its mounting bolts, maintains precise converter-to-crankshaft alignment, and provides the flexplate access window and starter motor mounting boss. At 54 kg, this is a large-frame housing built for 5-10 ton capacity forklifts operating in demanding industrial environments.

This case fits CPCD50, CPCD60, CPCD70, CPCD80, and CPCD100 forklifts using the 6110 diesel engine and matching powershift transmission. The bolt pattern, dowel pin spacing, and transmission mating face are specific to this series — it does NOT fit the smaller CPCD30-CPCD45 chassis or the earlier CPCD50 models with the 6102 engine. The housing must be inspected for cracks at the starter mounting boss and the cooler line pass-through ports before installation, as these are the highest-stress areas on large-frame housings. Any casting crack at a mounting point means the housing is structurally compromised and must be replaced.

Installation is a major service requiring transmission removal — the combined converter and housing assembly for this size class exceeds 100 kg and requires an appropriate transmission jack. Drain all transmission fluid, disconnect the cooler lines at the housing ports, remove the starter motor, unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate through the access window, and remove the bellhousing-to-engine bolts in a diagonal pattern. The six mounting bolts should be torqued to the engine block specification (typically 95-110 Nm for this frame size). Always replace the front pump seal, input shaft O-ring, and flexplate bolts with every housing removal — these are single-use components.
