This seal kit serves as a replacement for worn, hardened, or leaking cylinder seals on forklift hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Applications include: mast lift cylinder piston seals, tilt cylinder rod seals, steering cylinder static seals, hydraulic pump shaft seals, and pipeline connection seals. The correct material selection is critical — NBR is the standard choice for mineral oil hydraulic systems, FKM is required for high-temperature applications, EPDM for glycol-based fluids, and silicone for extreme temperature ranges. Seal failure indicators include: external hydraulic oil leak from the cylinder rod area (rod seal failure), cylinder drift under load (piston seal bypass), and reduced lifting speed (internal seal leakage). The seals are nonstandard and produced to order based on customer-provided specifications.

Installation requires complete cylinder disassembly and careful inspection of the cylinder bore, rod surface, and seal grooves for wear or damage before installing new seals. Lubricate seals with clean hydraulic fluid during assembly to prevent dry start-up damage. Replace all seals in the kit — partial replacement leaves old seals that will fail shortly after.
