A forklift fuse box is the centralized power distribution and circuit protection panel that houses multiple fuses protecting individual electrical circuits on the forklift — including the starter motor circuit, lighting system, instrument panel, horn, ECU power supply, and auxiliary equipment. The fuse box routes battery power through individual fused circuits: each fuse is rated for a specific current (typically 10A, 30A, or higher) and will melt its internal element when the circuit draws excessive current due to a short circuit, overloaded wiring, or failed component, breaking the circuit before electrical fire or component damage occurs. A failed or corroded fuse box causes multiple simultaneous electrical faults — the instrument panel may go dark, lights flicker or fail, the starter won’t crank, or the horn and turn signals become inoperative — because multiple circuits lose power simultaneously from one failed distribution point. • 4-Gear Fuse Box (BX2081X) — Compact 4+2 plug configuration with indicator light. For 3-ton forklifts where the fuse panel fits in a tight dashboard or under-seat compartment.
• 6-Gear Fuse Box (BX2081D/A61F2-40801) — Standard 6-position fuse panel for HELI CPCD and Mitsubishi diesel forklifts. Direct OEM replacement.
• 10-Gear Fuse Box (22372-401/P90H2-40311) — 10-position panel with seven 10A and one 30A fuse slots. For CPD10-18-C1-F1 and CPD20-25-FJ1-FJ2 electric forklifts requiring comprehensive circuit protection.

When to Replace / Common Failure Symptoms:
• Multiple electrical systems fail simultaneously (no lights, no horn, no starter) → Fuse box main terminal corroded or main fuse blown — inspect and replace
• Individual fuse position keeps blowing repeatedly → Short circuit in that specific circuit — trace wiring before replacing fuse box
• Visible corrosion, melted plastic, or burnt smell from fuse box area → Internal short circuit or moisture ingress — replace immediately
• Intermittent power loss to specific circuits → Loose or corroded fuse clips — replace fuse box if terminal tension is weak
• Indicator light on fuse box (BX2081X) stays off → Internal fuse blown or LED failed — replace fuse box assembly
