Installing the ED125 emergency stop switch requires mounting the switch in the designated emergency stop position on the dashboard or overhead guard, and wiring it in series with the main power contactor control circuit — the normally-closed contacts open when the button is pressed, de-energizing the main contactor coil which disconnects battery power from all drive and hydraulic circuits. After installation, the switch must be functionally tested per safety regulations: with the forklift stationary, verify that pressing the emergency stop immediately kills all electrical functions and that the switch mechanically latches in the depressed position. The switch must be manually twisted or pulled to reset — it must not automatically reset when released. Test the reset function and verify full electrical power restoration after resetting.
