The radiator is the primary heat exchanger in the engine cooling system — hot coolant from the engine block flows through the radiator’s finned tubes where airflow (from the engine fan and vehicle movement) dissipates the heat, cooling the coolant before it returns to the engine. The 30HB manual forklift radiator is a critical component for maintaining engine temperature within the 82-95°C operating range under continuous load. Installing the radiator requires draining the engine coolant, disconnecting the upper and lower radiator hoses, removing any transmission cooler lines if the radiator has an integrated transmission oil cooler, unbolting the radiator from its mounting brackets, and installing the replacement. The radiator must be positioned so the fan shroud aligns with the engine fan — misalignment causes the fan blades to contact the shroud, damaging both components. After installation, refill coolant, bleed air from the cooling system, run the engine until the thermostat opens, and verify no coolant leaks at the hose connections. For 30HB forklifts in dusty port and construction environments, the radiator fins should be cleaned regularly with compressed air from the engine side outward to remove debris that blocks airflow and reduces cooling efficiency.
