This K Series brake master pump is a heavy-duty hydraulic master cylinder designed for K Series 5-10 ton internal combustion forklifts equipped with drum brake systems. The K Series master pump converts mechanical pedal input into hydraulic pressure through a large-bore piston assembly, delivering the high fluid volume and clamping force required to safely stop heavy-load forklifts in demanding industrial environments such as ports, steel yards, and lumber handling facilities. The cast iron body features a reinforced mounting flange that bolts directly to the firewall or pedal bracket, while the oversized reservoir with screw-cap lid provides ample fluid capacity for full-stroke brake application without risk of drawing air into the system.

Internally, the cylinder uses a twin-seal piston design with EPDM primary and secondary cups that maintain reliable sealing through millions of actuation cycles. The piston bore is precision-honed to a mirror finish (Ra 0.8μm or better), and the return spring is high-tensile chrome-silicon wire that provides consistent pedal return force without fatigue. The dual-circuit outlet configuration (M10x1.0 or M12x1.0 metric threads depending on model year) splits the braking system into front-left and front-right independent circuits, ensuring that a single brake line failure does not result in complete loss of braking. The push rod interface includes a dust boot that seals against the pedal linkage to prevent dirt and moisture from contaminating the cylinder bore.
