Forklift Accelerator Pedal — OEM Pedal Assembly for Hangcha A30 3-Ton Forklift
This is the OEM accelerator pedal assembly for the Hangcha A30 series 3-ton forklift. Unlike the small rubber pedal pads that attach to a separate steel arm, this is the complete pedal unit including the cast aluminum pedal arm, the integrated return spring mechanism, the pivot bushing, and the throttle cable connection point — all factory-assembled as a single drop-in replacement. The pedal arm is die-cast aluminum (ADC12 equivalent) with a ribbed backside for structural rigidity — aluminum is used instead of stamped steel because it provides better corrosion resistance in the footwell area where water, mud, and road salt from outdoor forklift operations accumulate. The pedal face has a molded rubber pad with the Hangcha logo recessed into the surface, and the pivot uses an oil-impregnated sintered bronze bushing pressed into the arm with a hardened steel pivot pin (HRC 50-55) that passes through the bushing — this bushing-and-pin design is the primary wear point and is not separately serviceable, which is why the complete pedal assembly is replaced as a unit when bushing wear exceeds 0.15mm radial clearance.
The Hangcha A30 accelerator pedal uses a push-type cable actuation where the pedal arm pulls the throttle cable as it is depressed. The cable attachment point is a slotted clevis at the top of the pedal arm that accepts a 5mm barrel-type cable end — this slot must be oriented vertically during installation so the cable end can articulate freely as the pedal travels through its 25-degree angular range. A common installation error is installing the cable end with the slot oriented horizontally, which causes the cable to bind after approximately 10,000 pedal cycles as the cable end wears a groove into the side of the slot. The return spring is a torsion spring wrapped around the pivot pin — the spring preload is factory-set to provide approximately 12-15 N of return force at the pedal face, which is sufficient to overcome cable friction and return the pedal to idle position reliably while not causing operator leg fatigue during extended operation. Common failure symptoms: accelerator pedal does not return to the full idle position (broken or fatigued torsion spring), pedal feels loose with excessive side-to-side play (worn pivot bushing exceeding 0.15mm clearance), and a metallic creaking noise during pedal application (dry pivot bushing — apply a few drops of light machine oil to the bushing ends).
This pedal is specific to the Hangcha A30 series 3-ton forklift. Verify the pedal arm shape and the mounting bolt pattern before ordering. For related control components, visit our Forklift Electronic Control Parts section.
