MAST CHAIN OPERATION: Forklift mast chains are leaf chains designed specifically for lifting applications — unlike roller chains used in power transmission, leaf chains are rated for tensile load only (not for sprocket drive). The LH2034 designation indicates a specific chain pitch and plate configuration sized for the Heli 5-7 ton lift cylinder stroke and mast height. INSTALLATION AND SAFETY: Step 1 — Lower the mast fully and support the inner mast sections. Step 2 — Remove the chain anchor bolts at both the mast and carriage ends. Step 3 — Remove the old chain from the mast, noting the routing over the sheave pulleys. Step 4 — Route the new LH2034-101J-7P chain through the mast, over the sheave, and to both anchor points. Step 5 — Secure the chain anchors with proper torque on the anchor bolts. Step 6 — Check that both chains (left and right sides) are equal in length and tension — unequal chains cause the carriage to tilt and the mast to bind.
