TILT CYLINDER OPERATION: The double-acting hydraulic cylinder uses pressurized oil from the forklift hydraulic pump to extend or retract the cylinder rod. Rod extension tilts the mast backward for load stability during travel; rod retraction tilts the mast forward for load pickup and placement. INSTALLATION: Support the mast with blocking or a crane. Relieve hydraulic pressure. Disconnect and label hydraulic hoses. Remove the cylinder mounting pins at both ends. Extract the old cylinder. Install the new cylinder and secure with mounting pins and retaining clips. Reconnect hydraulic hoses. Bleed air by cycling tilt function 5-10 times.
