TILT CYLINDER FUNCTION: The tilt cylinder mounts between the forklift chassis and the mast, connecting to the mast at the rod end and the chassis at the cap end. When the operator moves the tilt control lever, hydraulic oil enters one side of the cylinder, extending or retracting the rod. This pivots the mast on its lower mounting points — rod extension tilts the mast backward, rod retraction tilts it forward. The double-acting design provides hydraulic force in both directions.
