30HB-110002 — Forklift Brake Drum

The 30HB-110002 is a precision-cast iron brake drum designed for forklift drum brake systems, serving as the rotating friction surface against which the brake shoes press to generate stopping force. Manufactured from high-grade gray cast iron (G3000 equivalent) with a uniform grain structure and controlled graphite flake distribution, this brake drum provides excellent heat absorption and dissipation characteristics essential for the repeated stop-and-go duty cycles of forklift operations. The inner braking surface is finish-machined to a surface roughness of Ra 1.6μm or better, ensuring immediate and consistent brake shoe contact without the need for extended bedding-in periods. The drum is dynamically balanced at the factory to minimize vibration and ensure smooth brake engagement at all operating speeds.

The drum features a precision-bored center pilot hole that ensures accurate centering on the wheel hub, eliminating runout that can cause pedal pulsation and uneven shoe wear. The wheel stud holes are CNC-drilled on a precisely controlled bolt circle diameter, and the stud seats are chamfered for proper lug nut seating. The outer surface includes cast-in reinforcement ribs that increase structural rigidity and provide additional surface area for convective heat dissipation, reducing the risk of brake fade during sustained heavy-load braking. A protective anti-corrosion coating is applied to all non-friction surfaces (outer shell, mounting face, and cooling ribs) to prevent rust during storage and in humid operating environments.

Compatible with select HELI, Hangcha, and other domestic forklift models using 30HB-series brake components. Before installation, measure the drum inside diameter with a brake drum micrometer — new specification is typically 310-320mm for 30HB-series drums, with a maximum wear limit of 2mm over the original diameter. Never install a drum that exceeds the maximum diameter specification, as this reduces the structural wall thickness and compromises heat capacity. Always replace drums in axle pairs (both left and right simultaneously) to maintain balanced braking.
