FORK EXTENSION PURPOSE AND SAFETY: Fork extensions are removable attachments that slide onto the existing fork tines, held in place by heel pins or locking bolts. They increase the load center capacity by providing longer fork support under wide loads. The 1220mm length extends the standard fork by approximately 1200mm, accommodating extra-wide pallets, long structural materials, and oversized crates. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: Adding fork extensions changes the forklift load center and reduces the rated lifting capacity. Always consult the forklift load chart when using fork extensions — a 5 ton forklift with extended forks may have a significantly reduced capacity depending on the load center distance. INSTALLATION: Step 1 — Slide the fork extension onto each fork tine from the front, ensuring the extension heel contacts the fork heel. Step 2 — Insert and secure the locking pin or bolt through the extension and fork tine. Step 3 — Verify the extension is fully seated against the fork heel and the locking pin is engaged. Step 4 — Slide the second extension onto the other fork tine, following the same procedure. Step 5 — Verify both extensions are parallel and properly seated before lifting any load.
