INSTALLATION: Step 1 — Remove and disassemble the transmission to access the clutch pack. Step 2 — Note the stacking order of friction plates and steel separator plates. Step 3 — Remove the old friction plates. Step 4 — Soak new friction plates in the correct transmission fluid for 30+ minutes before installation. Step 5 — Rebuild the clutch pack alternating friction plates and separator plates. Step 6 — Measure the total clutch pack height and verify clearance per FD50-7 specification.
