INSTALLATION: Drain the hydraulic reservoir. Disconnect the pump inlet hose (larger diameter from reservoir) and pressure outlet hose. Unbolt the pump from the engine PTO adapter or transmission mounting pad — the spline shaft will slide out of the PTO coupling. Before installing the new pump, inspect the PTO spline coupling for wear — a worn coupling will damage the new pump splines. Apply a light coating of clean hydraulic oil to the spline shaft before insertion. Install the pump with a new mounting gasket or O-ring. Reconnect hoses with new sealing washers.
