Isuzu NPR 7×41 / 7×43 Ring and Pinion Differential Assembly
This ring and pinion differential assembly is designed for Isuzu NPR series and compatible industrial applications, available in 7:41 and 7:43 gear ratios with 19 or 23 spline axle shaft configurations. The assembly provides the final gear reduction between the transmission output and drive wheels, multiplying torque while reducing rotational speed for optimal forklift drive performance. Suitable for 1998-2004 model year NPR trucks and equipment using 7-37 tooth differential assemblies.
The ring gear is manufactured from forged and heat-treated alloy steel with precision-cut spiral bevel tooth profiles that mesh with optimized contact patterns for quiet, efficient power transmission. The pinion gear features a hardened and ground shaft with the specified spline count (19 or 23) for direct engagement with the drive shaft yoke. Both gears are lapped as a matched set to ensure full tooth contact and minimize break-in wear. The assembly includes the differential case with side gears and spider gears, all supported by tapered roller bearings.
Verify the required gear ratio (7:41 or 7:43) and axle spline count before ordering. Always replace the pinion seal, crush sleeve, and carrier bearings during differential overhaul. Set pinion bearing preload and ring gear backlash to manufacturer specifications using a dial indicator and inch-pound torque wrench.
