TRANSVERSE STEERING DESIGN: In transverse steering cylinder configurations, the cylinder body is fixed to the chassis crossmember and the rod end connects to the steering tie rod or knuckle arm. When oil enters one side of the cylinder, the rod extends, pushing the steering linkage. When oil enters the opposite side, the rod retracts, pulling the linkage. This push-pull motion translates directly to wheel angle change. The double-acting equal-bore design provides balanced steering force in both directions. INSTALLATION: Support the forklift, relieve steering pressure, disconnect hydraulic hoses, remove cylinder mounting bolts, extract old cylinder, install new cylinder, reconnect hoses, bleed air by turning steering wheel lock-to-lock 10-15 times, check for leaks, verify alignment.
