The clutch disc is the wear component that transfers engine power from the flywheel to the transmission through friction engagement — the 300mm diameter provides a larger friction surface area for higher torque capacity compared to smaller discs. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Step 1 — Remove the transmission to access the clutch. Step 2 — Remove the pressure plate bolts in a cross-pattern to prevent warping. Step 3 — Extract the old clutch disc. Step 4 — Inspect the flywheel for scoring, heat checking, or cracking — resurface if damaged. Step 5 — Clean all friction surfaces with brake cleaner. Step 6 — Using a clutch alignment tool, position the new disc against the flywheel with the longer hub side toward the transmission. Step 7 — Install the pressure plate and torque bolts in a cross-pattern. Step 8 — Reinstall transmission. Step 9 — Adjust clutch pedal free play.
