Forklift Hydraulic Filter: Suction, Return-Line & High-Pressure — YK0812A, 24C7-50301, A3000-603010, FS1416, 12 Product Lines, HELI TCM Komatsu

The hydraulic filter removes contaminants from the hydraulic oil that powers the forklift’s lift cylinders, tilt cylinders, side shift, and hydraulic attachments. Forklift hydraulic systems operate at pressures from 1,500-3,500 psi (10-25 MPa) with piston pumps that have internal clearances measured in 5-20 microns — a single particle of dirt or metal larger than the pump’s internal clearance scores the piston bore, creating an internal leak path that reduces pump efficiency and eventually destroys the pump. The hydraulic filter is located in one of three positions in the hydraulic circuit: as a suction strainer (on the pump inlet, protecting the pump from ingesting large particles from the hydraulic tank), as a return-line filter (on the oil return line to the tank, capturing wear particles before they recirculate), or as a high-pressure filter (on the pump discharge, protecting downstream valves and cylinders from pump-generated debris). A clogged suction filter starves the pump of oil — the pump cavitates (the oil vaporizes in the low-pressure inlet), and the imploding vapor bubbles erode the pump’s internal surfaces within minutes. A clogged return-line filter causes back-pressure in the return circuit that slows cylinder retraction and can blow out the filter housing seal. A clogged high-pressure filter causes a pressure drop across the filter that reduces the hydraulic pressure available at the cylinders — the forklift lifts slower or cannot lift its rated load. Kingstream supplies 12 hydraulic filter product lines covering HELI, TCM, Komatsu, and universal forklift hydraulic systems in 2-10 ton capacity ranges.

Hydraulic Oil Filters by Application:
• YK0812A 20mm (YK0812A) — Hydraulic oil filter for HELI 5-7 ton forklifts. 20mm port size. High-flow filter designed for the larger hydraulic pumps on heavy forklifts where oil flow rates can exceed 100 liters per minute
• 24C7-50301 (24C7-50301) — HELI forklift hydraulic oil filter. Common OEM part number for HELI 2-5 ton forklift hydraulic systems. Spin-on or cartridge type filter element
• H24C7-50302 Y0809A (H24C7-50302) — HELI forklift hydraulic oil filter with Y0809A cross-reference. Alternative part number for the same filter family as 24C7-50301
• A3000-603010-000 (A3000-603010 / A3000-603010-000) — Hydraulic oil suction filter for HELI A30-A35 series 3-3.5 ton forklifts. Suction-side filter at the pump inlet — protects the pump from ingesting debris from the hydraulic tank. Two variant SKUs with the same OEM part number
• 0815 2-3T TCM (0815) — Hydraulic oil filter for TCM 2-3 ton forklifts. Type 0815 filter element — specific form factor for TCM hydraulic systems. Verify thread size and gasket diameter before ordering
• 25967-82001 0812A (25967-82001) — Hydraulic oil filter 0812A type. OEM part number 25967-82001 for specific forklift hydraulic filter applications
• 3EA-15-11600 (3EA-15-11600) — Komatsu hydraulic oil filter for FD20-30-14 series forklifts. OEM Komatsu part number — direct replacement for Komatsu hydraulic systems. Verify your forklift model uses this specific filter
• FTCE1A10Q (FTCE1A10Q) — Industrial hydraulic oil filter element. Universal type for hydraulic systems in forklifts and industrial equipment
• FS1416 DX200M (FS1416) — Forklift filter for DX200M type hydraulic systems. FS1416 designation for specific filter housing compatibility
• Universal Return (RETURN-OIL-FILTER) — General-purpose return oil filter for forklift hydraulic systems. Captures wear particles in the return line before oil re-enters the hydraulic tank — protects the pump from ingesting recirculated debris
• 5-10T Suction (SUCTION-5-10T) — Heavy-duty suction oil filter for 5-10 ton forklifts. Large-capacity filter element designed for the high oil flow rates of heavy forklift hydraulic systems

When to Service Hydraulic Filters:
• At every hydraulic oil change interval (1,000-2,000 hours depending on operating environment) → Replace the filter element. Hydraulic system contaminants accumulate in the filter over time — a filter at the end of its service life has reduced flow capacity that affects hydraulic system performance
• Hydraulic functions are slow — lift, tilt, or side shift are noticeably slower than normal → The hydraulic filter may be restricted, reducing pump inlet flow or causing back-pressure. Replace the filter before diagnosing the pump — a filter restriction is easier and cheaper to fix than a pump replacement
• Hydraulic pump is noisy (whining, growling, or cavitation noise) → The suction filter or strainer is clogged, starving the pump of oil. Stop the forklift immediately — pump cavitation destroys the pump within minutes. Replace the suction filter and check the hydraulic oil level
• Hydraulic oil is milky or has visible particles → Water or contaminants are in the hydraulic oil. The water degrades the filter media (paper elements swell and lose filtration capacity when wet). Replace the filter and flush the hydraulic system
• Filter indicator (if equipped) shows the filter is in bypass mode → The filter element has reached maximum contaminant-holding capacity. Replace immediately — unfiltered oil is circulating through the entire hydraulic system
