This is a factory-matched two-piece clutch set — a pressure plate (cover assembly) and clutch disc (driven plate) paired together at the factory so the clamp load of the diaphragm spring and the friction coefficient of the disc facings are calibrated to work as a system, not as two randomly combined parts. This is fundamentally different from buying a pressure plate and disc separately from different sources: when a pressure plate rated at 5,800 N clamp load is paired with a disc whose friction material was formulated for a 4,500 N plate, the clutch either slips prematurely (disc too soft for the clamp force) or chatters on engagement (disc too aggressive, grabbing rather than modulating). The 3-3.5 ton class amplifies this mismatch risk because 3-ton and 3.5-ton forklifts from the same manufacturer often use the same 275mm disc diameter but require different clamp loads — a 3-ton disc bought for a 3.5-ton pressure plate will glaze its facings within the first week of loaded operation.
