The hinged bucket fork carriage converts a standard forklift into a material handling platform capable of scooping, carrying, and dumping loose materials such as gravel, sand, grain, fertilizer, scrap metal, demolition debris, and agricultural products. The hinged design allows the bucket to tilt forward for dumping and backward for load retention during transport — controlled via the forklift’s existing hydraulic tilt cylinders through the standard carriage interface. This attachment eliminates the need for a dedicated wheel loader or skid steer for bulk material handling tasks, allowing a single forklift to handle both palletized goods and loose materials on construction sites, in building material yards, at manufacturing plants, and in agricultural operations. The carriage mounts to the forklift mast using the standard ISO carriage interface with fork bar engagement, making it compatible with virtually any forklift brand without modification. Installing the hinged bucket fork carriage requires removing the existing forks and fork carriage from the forklift mast, then mounting the new carriage onto the mast carriage bars. The carriage must be properly centered on the mast and secured with the retaining pins or clips to prevent lateral shifting during operation. Connect the hydraulic tilt cylinder to the bucket hinge mechanism — this may require a hydraulic diverter valve if the forklift tilt circuit is dedicated to mast tilt. After installation, test the full range of bucket motion: tilt forward to the dump position and verify the bucket reaches sufficient angle for complete material discharge, then tilt back to the carry position and verify load retention angle. The rated load capacity of the forklift must be de-rated when using a bucket attachment because the bucket’s center of gravity is typically further forward than standard forks, creating a greater forward moment on the mast. For hydraulic connections, all fittings must be tightened to specification and the system bled of air before operation. 1-year warranty covers structural and hydraulic defects.
