This ignition switch assembly is a direct OEM-spec replacement for EP Equipment electric pallet trucks and powered stackers. The key-operated 4-position rotary switch serves as the master power control for the vehicle: OFF disconnects all circuits, ON energizes the traction controller and instrument panel through the main contactor, START engages the hydraulic pump motor for lifting operations, and ACC powers auxiliary circuits including lights and horn. A worn ignition switch that requires wiggling the key to make contact produces high-resistance arcing at the terminals — generating localized heating exceeding 200°C that carbonizes the plastic housing and can escalate to electrical fire when combined with hydrogen gas from battery charging in enclosed warehouse charging stations.

The switch features a die-cast zinc alloy lock cylinder with a 5-tumbler pin mechanism providing keyed security against unauthorized equipment use. Two keys are included.
