INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Step 1 — Park the forklift on level ground and allow the engine to cool. Drain the engine oil completely through the drain plug. Step 2 — Remove any components blocking access to the oil pan such as exhaust pipes, steering linkages, or skid plates. Step 3 — Loosen and remove all oil pan bolts in a cross-pattern sequence. Step 4 — Carefully break the gasket seal using a pry tool at the designated pry points — never pry between the pan and block on the gasket surface to avoid damaging the sealing surface. Step 5 — Remove the old oil pan and thoroughly clean the engine block mounting surface with a gasket scraper to remove all old gasket material, oil, and debris. Step 6 — Inspect the oil pickup tube and screen for damage or clogging. Clean or replace the screen if necessary. Step 7 — Apply a continuous 3-4mm bead of RTV silicone gasket maker to the oil pan flange, circling each bolt hole. Step 8 — Position the new oil pan and thread all bolts finger-tight before final torque in a cross-pattern sequence. Step 9 — Allow the RTV to cure for the time specified by the manufacturer (typically 1 hour before oil fill).
