INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Step 1 — Disconnect the battery and drain all fluids (engine oil, coolant, and fuel). Step 2 — Remove the forklift engine hood, side panels, and any access covers. Step 3 — Disconnect the exhaust system from the exhaust manifold. Step 4 — Disconnect all electrical connections: starter main cable and solenoid wire, alternator output and field wires, oil pressure sensor, water temperature sensor, fuel shutoff solenoid, and glow plug wiring harness. Label all connections. Step 5 — Disconnect the throttle linkage and fuel supply and return lines. Step 6 — Disconnect radiator hoses and heater hoses. Step 7 — Support the engine with an overhead crane rated for a minimum of 300kg. Attach lifting chains to the engine lifting eyes. Step 8 — Remove the engine mount bolts at the chassis brackets. Step 9 — Remove the bell housing bolts connecting the engine to the transmission. Step 10 — Carefully separate the engine from the transmission, ensuring the torque converter or clutch remains properly seated. Step 11 — Lift the old engine out and position the new engine on the crane. Step 12 — Align the new engine with the transmission input shaft and bell housing dowels. NEVER force the engine onto the transmission — misalignment will damage the torque converter or clutch splines. Step 13 — Install bell housing bolts and torque to specification. Step 14 — Install engine mount bolts. Step 15 — Reconnect all electrical, fuel, coolant, exhaust, and throttle connections. Step 16 — Refill engine with correct specification diesel engine oil (typically 15W-40 CI-4 for Xinchai). Step 17 — Fill cooling system with correct coolant mixture. Bleed air from the cooling system. Step 18 — Prime the fuel system by operating the manual feed pump. Step 19 — Before starting, crank the engine with the fuel shutoff solenoid disconnected until oil pressure registers on the gauge. Step 20 — Reconnect fuel solenoid, start the engine, and immediately verify oil pressure, alternator charging, coolant circulation, and no abnormal noises or leaks. Step 21 — Run engine at 1000-1500 RPM for 15 minutes, then re-torque cylinder head bolts and adjust valve lash to Xinchai specification. 100% professional tested. Kingstream OEM.

SYMPTOMS OF ENGINE FAILURE: Hard starting or no-start, excessive exhaust smoke (black = overfueling; blue = oil burning; white = coolant leak), loss of power under load, abnormal engine knocking, coolant in oil (milky oil), oil in coolant, excessive oil consumption, overheating, and catastrophic mechanical failure.
