Installing the 230×75×82mm drive wheel requires removing the five hub bolts and pulling the old wheel off the drive motor output hub. Before mounting the replacement, thoroughly clean the hub flange surface of rust, debris, and old polyurethane residue — even a 1mm thickness of debris between the wheel and hub flange creates a wobble that, at typical forklift travel speeds of 10-15 km/h, generates high-frequency vibration that the operator feels through the steering wheel, seat, and floor. This vibration accelerates wear on the wheel tread, drive motor bearings, and steering components. The five bolts must be torqued in a star pattern to the manufacturer’s specification — uneven torque warps the wheel hub and creates a permanent wobble that cannot be corrected without replacing the wheel. After installation, rotate the wheel by hand through a full revolution and verify consistent clearance from brake components, motor housing, and chassis — any contact point will either wear through the wheel tread or damage the contacting component during operation. For electric forklifts with regenerative braking, the wheel mounting bolts must be re-torqued after the first 8 hours of operation because the reversing torque of regenerative braking can loosen bolts that were torqued under forward-drive-only conditions.
