This copper PVC-insulated jumper cable is designed for emergency battery jump-starting on IC forklifts and automotive equipment. Available in 6mm² and 10mm² cross-sections (approximately 8-10 AWG and 5-6 AWG), the pure copper conductor ensures minimal voltage drop during the high-current transfer needed to crank a cold diesel engine. Unlike silicone cables designed for permanent engine bay installation, this PVC-jacketed jumper cable is optimized for occasional emergency use — compact, lightweight, and easy to store in the operator cabin or maintenance toolkit.
Usage notes: this cable is rated for 220V / 10A continuous current and is intended for jump-starting applications, not permanent battery-to-starter wiring. The PVC insulation operates safely from -20°C to +70°C — sufficient for most warehouse and outdoor conditions but not for direct exhaust manifold contact. Always connect the positive (red) clamp first to the dead battery, then the positive clamp to the donor battery, then the negative (black) clamp to the donor battery, and finally the negative clamp to a clean metal ground on the dead machine — never directly to the dead battery’s negative terminal when jump-starting, as sparking near a charging battery can ignite hydrogen gas.
Compatible with Toyota 7FG/7FD, Komatsu FD/FG, HELI CPCD, CAT DP, and Nissan FD IC forklifts where the battery uses top-post or side-post terminals.
