This 16mm² copper battery cable is built for permanent DC power connections in wet and dusty environments, featuring an IP68-rated waterproof PU jacket over PVC insulation. The 16mm² cross-section handles steady-state 10A current at 500V rated voltage — suitable for battery-to-charger, battery-to-bus-bar, and auxiliary power connections on electric forklifts and industrial equipment. The IP68 rating means it can withstand complete submersion without water ingress, making it the right cable for outdoor forklifts and washdown environments where standard cables fail from moisture penetration.

Installation: the PU outer jacket is abrasion and chemical resistant but must be properly strain-relieved at both ends to prevent conductor fatigue at the termination points. Use ring terminals sized for 16mm² cable and crimp with a hydraulic crimper for a gas-tight connection. The PVC inner insulation provides the primary dielectric barrier while the PU jacket handles mechanical protection — do not strip past both layers at the termination point or you lose the IP68 seal. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C — suitable for most warehouse and outdoor conditions but not for direct exhaust or engine block contact.
