This silicone-insulated tinned copper battery cable handles high-current DC power delivery with a 600V rated voltage and 0.8-955A current capacity across 1 AWG through 12 AWG gauges. Unlike standard PVC-insulated cables that harden at -10°C and melt at 105°C, this silicone-jacketed cable stays flexible from -60°C to 200°C — making it the right choice for forklift engine bays where battery-to-starter cables run near exhaust manifolds, and for cold storage forklifts where PVC cables crack during winter startup. The tinned copper conductor resists oxidation far better than bare copper, preventing the green corrosion that increases resistance and creates hot spots at battery terminals.

Installation note: always crimp tinned copper lugs with a hydraulic crimper, not a hammer crimper. High-gauge cables (1-4 AWG) carry starter motor inrush currents exceeding 400A on a cold crank — a loose crimp creates a hot spot that oxidizes the connection within weeks. Route the silicone jacket away from sharp chassis edges and apply dielectric grease to lug connections to prevent terminal corrosion in damp or acidic environments. The silicone jacket is abrasion-resistant but should still be protected with split loom conduit in high-wear routing paths.
