ELECTRIC FORKLIFT HYDRAULIC SYSTEM: Unlike diesel forklifts where the hydraulic pump is driven directly by the engine via a PTO shaft, electric forklifts use a separate 220V electric motor to drive the hydraulic gear pump through a CLP motor pump coupling. INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE: The pump mounts to the electric motor via the CLP coupling — ensure the coupling is properly aligned and the pump shaft is centered in the coupling spider. Misalignment causes premature bearing failure, seal leakage, and coupling wear. Diamond flange or rectangular flange mounting options provide installation flexibility. Connect the hydraulic inlet and outlet hoses with new sealing washers. Fill the pump inlet with clean hydraulic oil before starting.
