Connecting Rod 37M-1004100 — D-144 / T-16 / T-25 / T-40 Tractor Diesel Engine Connecting Rod Assembly
This connecting rod assembly part number 37M-1004100 is a Kingstream OEM replacement connecting rod for D-144, T-16, T-25, and T-40 Russian tractor diesel engines in agricultural machinery applications. The connecting rod is the critical engine component that connects the piston to the crankshaft — it converts the reciprocating linear motion of the piston into the rotating motion of the crankshaft. The connecting rod must withstand enormous alternating tensile and compressive loads during each engine cycle: tensile forces of several tons during the exhaust stroke when the piston changes direction at top dead center, and compressive forces exceeding combustion pressure during the power stroke. 50kg with 50×30×30cm standard export packaging. 1-year warranty. MOQ 1 piece. Payment by Trade Assurance, T/T, LC, or Western Union. 24-hour online service with 15-day delivery. OEM customization accepted. High-quality. Kingstream OEM for agricultural machinery engine fleet operators.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE: Step 1 — Remove the engine from the tractor and mount on an engine stand. Step 2 — Drain engine oil and remove the oil pan. Step 3 — Remove the cylinder head to access the pistons. Step 4 — Remove the connecting rod bearing cap bolts and carefully push the piston and connecting rod assembly out through the top of the cylinder bore. Step 5 — Mark each rod and cap with cylinder number — connecting rod caps are matched to their specific rod and must NEVER be interchanged. Step 6 — Press the piston pin out to separate the old connecting rod from the piston. Step 7 — Inspect the new connecting rod for proper big-end bore diameter, small-end bushing fit, and overall straightness. Step 8 — Heat the new connecting rod small end to expand the bushing bore, then install the piston pin. Step 9 — Install new connecting rod bearing shells in the big end and cap. Step 10 — Install new piston rings on the piston. Step 11 — Lubricate the cylinder bore, piston, rings, and connecting rod bearing with assembly oil. Step 12 — Using a ring compressor, install the piston into the cylinder bore from the top. Guide the connecting rod big end onto the crankshaft journal. Step 13 — Install the connecting rod cap with new bolts or nuts, torque to specification. Step 14 — Verify the connecting rod moves freely on the journal with correct side clearance. Step 15 — Reinstall the cylinder head, oil pan, and all components. Refill oil and verify engine operation. 1-year warranty. Kingstream OEM.
SYMPTOMS OF CONNECTING ROD FAILURE: Loud knocking noise from the engine that increases with RPM and is most pronounced under load or during deceleration, metal particles in engine oil, sudden loss of engine power followed by catastrophic engine failure (rod through block), and excessive crankshaft or connecting rod bearing clearance.
