Forklift Tire Rim: Steel Wheel Rims — 5.00-8 Split to 28×9-15 Double, 14 Product Lines, All Major Sizes

The forklift tire rim is the steel wheel that mounts the tire to the axle hub — it transmits drive torque and braking force from the axle to the tire, supports the full vertical load of the forklift and its payload, and provides the precise bead seat that seals tubeless tires or supports tube-type tires. A bent, cracked, or corroded rim is a safety hazard on a forklift because the rim is under constant stress from tire inflation pressure (up to 1,000 kPa or 145 psi on pneumatic tires) combined with dynamic loading that cycles from zero to maximum every time a load is lifted. A rim failure under load — typically at the weld between the rim center disc and the outer rim barrel — causes immediate and complete tire deflation, shifting the forklift’s stability triangle and creating a tip-over risk. Rim corrosion at the bead seat (where the tire seals against the rim) is the most common cause of slow air leaks on tubeless forklift tires — the corroded surface prevents the tire bead from forming an airtight seal, and the leak is often misdiagnosed as a tire puncture. Damaged lug bolt holes from over-torquing or cross-threading prevent correct wheel nut torque and cause the rim to run off-center on the hub, creating vibration that accelerates bearing, seal, and tire wear.

Kingstream supplies 14 types of forklift tire rims covering the most common sizes and configurations: 28×9-15 (the single most popular forklift rim size for 3-5 ton counterbalanced trucks), 7.00-12, 650-10, 6.00-9, 5.00-8 split rims, 8.25-15 double tire assemblies, 5.5F-16 tractor wheels, 8.5-20 truck wheels, and the OEM H3QA4-40301 for CPCP45. Rims are available as single one-piece rims, split rims (two-piece design for easier tire mounting on solid tires), front double wheel assemblies, and complete rim-and-tire assemblies.

28×9-15 Rims (Most Common Forklift Size):
Standard 28×9-15 (RIM-28X9-15) — Universal steel wheel rim for 28×9-15 pneumatic and solid tires. Standard offset and bolt pattern for HELI, Hangcha, and generic Chinese forklifts. Single one-piece construction
Front Double Wheel (RIM-28X9-15-DBL) — 30HB size front double wheel assembly with integrated hub. Designed for forklifts running dual front tires for increased load capacity and stability. Steel hub with matched rim pair
Double Wheel Steel Ring (RIM-28X9-15-DW) — Front double wheel rim with steel ring reinforcement for heavy-duty applications. The steel ring provides additional bead retention force on solid tires subjected to high lateral loads during turning
A30-A35 OEM (RIM-28X9-15-A30) — Solid tire wheel rim specifically for HELI A30-A35 series 3-3.5 ton forklifts. Precision-machined bead seat for solid tire press-fit. Designed for the interference fit that transmits drive torque on solid tire installations
Taiwan Lifu (RIM-28X9-15-LIFU) — Taiwan Lifu brand steel rim for 28×9-15 tires. Known for consistent manufacturing quality and dimensional accuracy across production batches. Hub and rim sold as a matched assembly

7.00-12 to 6.00-9 Rims:
7.00-12 (RIM-7-00-12) — Wheel rim for A45-R45 series forklifts using 7.00-12 pneumatic or solid tires. Standard forklift accessory. Designed for 3-4.5 ton tandem and heavy forklifts
650-10 (RIM-650-10) — Forklift wheel rim for 650-10 tires. Common on 2-3 ton counterbalanced forklifts. Steel construction with standard bolt circle
6.00-9 (RIM-600-9) — Tire wheel rim for 6.00-9 tires used on compact forklifts and warehouse equipment. Smaller bolt circle for lighter axle configurations

Split & Special Rims:
5.00-8 Split Rear Wheel (SPLIT-RIM) — Two-piece split rear wheel hub steel rim. The split design allows solid tire mounting without a hydraulic press — the rim halves bolt together, clamping the tire between them. Ideal for field replacement where press equipment is not available
8.25-15 Double Tire Assembly (RIM-TIRE-ASSY) — Complete double tire steel rim assembly for 0.5-ton forklifts. Rim pair with matched offset for dual tire configuration
5.5F-16 Tractor Wheels (RIM-LUG-STUDS) — Steel farm tractor wheel with hub and lug studs for adjustment. Fits Kubota 5-16 and 750-16 tires. Agricultural and industrial crossover application
8.5-20 Truck Wheels (TRUCK-WHEEL-8.5-20) — Heavy truck steel rim for 8.5-20 tires. Suitable for large forklifts, container handlers, and industrial trucks using truck-sized wheels
OEM H3QA4-40301 (H3QA4-40301) — 100% original wheel rim for CPCP45 forklifts. Direct OEM replacement — guaranteed fit without modification or adapter plates

When to Replace Forklift Rims:
• Rim is visibly bent, cracked, or has a damaged weld between the center disc and rim barrel → Replace immediately. A cracked rim will fail catastrophically under load
• Bead seat area is deeply corroded or pitted — more than surface rust that can be cleaned with a wire brush → The bead cannot seal. Grinding the bead seat changes the diameter and makes the problem worse. Replace rim
• Lug bolt holes are elongated, cracked, or the lug seat (tapered or spherical surface where the wheel nut contacts) is deformed → The wheel cannot be centered on the hub. Replace rim and inspect hub studs for damage
• Rim has spun a solid tire — the inner steel band has worn grooves into the rim bead seat → The interference fit is lost. Replace rim and tire as a matched set
• Split rim bolt holes are cracked or the mating surfaces between rim halves are fretted or galled → The rim halves cannot achieve proper clamping force. Replace the damaged rim half or the complete split rim assembly
