The assembly includes a fully built brake backing plate with pre-installed brake shoes, wheel cylinder, return and hold-down springs, self-adjuster mechanism, and parking brake linkage — all factory pre-adjusted for immediate bolt-on installation. The brake shoes feature extra-thick semi-metallic friction linings (25% thicker than standard 3T linings) bonded and riveted to heavy-gauge steel platforms for extended service life under severe-duty conditions. The wheel cylinder is an oversized twin-piston design with a larger bore diameter that delivers proportionally higher clamping force to match the heavier vehicle weight. The cylinder body is cast iron with honed bores, EPDM rubber seals, and stainless steel pistons for reliable operation with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. The backing plate is fabricated from 5mm thick steel plate with reinforced mounting bosses and an anti-corrosion zinc-phosphate coating. High-tensile return springs ensure complete shoe retraction to prevent drag and overheating during travel between stops.

Compatible with HELI CPCD50, CPQD50, Hangcha CPCD50, and other domestic 5-ton forklift models using drum-type front brake systems. This assembly is a direct bolt-on replacement — remove the wheel and drum, disconnect the hydraulic line and parking brake cable, remove four mounting bolts, swap in the new assembly, reconnect, bleed, and reinstall the drum and wheel. After installation, perform a brake bedding procedure: 10-15 moderate stops from low speed to transfer lining material to the drum surface for optimal friction.
