HELI 3-3.5T Forklift Brake Assembly — Left and Right Set

This HELI 3-3.5 ton forklift brake assembly is a complete left-and-right pair of drum brake assemblies for HELI CPCD30, CPCD35, and equivalent 3-3.5 ton internal combustion forklifts. Each assembly comes fully built and pre-adjusted from the factory — including the brake backing plate with pre-installed brake shoes, wheel cylinder, return springs, hold-down hardware, self-adjuster mechanism, and parking brake lever assembly. This plug-and-play design drastically reduces installation time compared to building up a brake from individual components, making it ideal for busy forklift maintenance shops and on-site fleet repair crews where minimizing vehicle downtime is critical.

The brake backing plate is stamped from heavy-gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant black oxide finish, featuring precision-punched mounting holes that align directly with the forklift axle flange bolt pattern. The brake shoes use high-friction molded lining material mechanically bonded and riveted to the steel shoe platforms, providing consistent stopping power across the full operating temperature range with excellent resistance to glazing and fade. The wheel cylinders are machined cast iron with polished bores, EPDM cup seals, and stainless steel pistons for long service life with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. All springs are high-tensile music wire with zinc plating for corrosion protection, and the self-adjuster cable and lever mechanism maintains proper shoe-to-drum clearance automatically as the linings wear.

Direct bolt-on replacement for HELI CPCD30, CPCD35, CPQD30, and CPQD35 forklift models, as well as select HELI CPD30/CPD35 electric models with drum brake front axles. The left (driver side) and right (passenger side) assemblies are mirror images — each box contains one assembly clearly marked L or R. Installation requires basic hand tools: remove the wheel and brake drum, disconnect the hydraulic brake line and parking brake cable, unbolt the old backing plate (4 bolts), bolt on the new assembly, reconnect the hydraulic line, bleed the brakes, and reinstall the drum and wheel.
